Indeed god created the time and space also. The forms which impressed upon the matter were in the God’s mind from the beginning of time and even before god existed, before there was any time. Thus everything that is or ever, shall be is a creation of God and must follow his laws and will. Here again, we see the influence of the Greeks in the belief that the universe is the result of the coming together of matter and form. But the Christian thinkers went further than the Greeks in that they attempted to account for the existence of matter out of nothing. After he created matter, had something upon which to impress ideas or forms. Philosopher’s thought that ideas or forms, being in the mind of god were divine; therefore in so far as things are ideas or forms impressed on matter, they seek God and try to return to Him.
